Michał Stępniewski

MEMBER OF THE PROGRAM COUNCIL OF THE BALTIC CONNECTIONS SUMMIT 2025

Graduate of the Faculty of Law at the University of Warsaw, legal advisor, graduate of British law studies at the University of Cambridge and IESE Business School.

From 1997 to 2004, he was employed at the Securities and Exchange Commission, holding positions from assistant to the Chairman's Advisor and press spokesman for the Commission. From 2004 to 2006, he was an Advisor to the Minister, Head of the Minister's Office, and then the Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of the Treasury. From 2006 to 2009, he served as Vice-President of the Management Board of PKO Investment Fund Company S.A. From 2010 to 2013, he was the Dean of the District Chamber of Legal Advisors in Warsaw.

From 2009 to 2024, he was the Vice-President of the Management Board of the National Depository for Securities S.A., where he oversaw and implemented the company's financial policy.

Currently, he is the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Praski Hospital Sp. z o.o. and is actively involved in the Stare Powązki Foundation, where he serves as the Chairman of the Foundation's Council.
