He is also a non-resident fellow in Tech Policy at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) and a Research Fellow in the Earth System Governance Project, a global research network focused on systemic environmental change.

In his upcoming doctoral dissertation at Jagiellonian University, he analyzes the geo-economic aspects of policies regarding clean technologies in the context of great power competition – the European Union, the United States, and China. He is trained as an international lawyer, a graduate of L’École de Droit de la Sorbonne and Cornell Law School.
Maciej worked as a Senior Expert for International Analysis at the National Economy Bank (BGK), where he was responsible for the internationalization of a flagship sustainable development program, and as Chief Expert at the Ministry of Climate and Environment, coordinating Poland's bilateral and multilateral energy relations. Previously, he practiced international arbitration in leading law firms in Paris and Warsaw and assisted in the U.S. Court of International Trade in New York.
