Katarzyna Gruszecka-Spychała

Katarzyna Gruszecka-Spychała – a legal adviser with many years’ experience in public administration. From 2011 to 2014, she was Chair of the Gdynia Development Agency; from 2014 to 2024, she served as Deputy Mayor of Gdynia for Economic Affairs; and from 2024 to 2026, she was Deputy Chair of the Management Board of the Port of Gdynia.

For five years, she also chaired the Social and Economic Committee of the Gdańsk-Gdynia-Sopot Metropolitan Area, which was then informal but was in the process of being formalised. She served two terms on the municipal team of the Polish Academy of Sciences’ National Spatial Planning Committee. A graduate of the Leadership Academy for Poland.

She is an ambassador for the Urban Land Institute in Poland. She is a member of the Council of the University of Gdańsk and the Council of the Institute of Freedom Foundation. She specialises in providing legal and economic consultancy for projects at the interface between public administration and business, particularly international ones. She is passionate about Italian art; she completed a degree in Italian studies as a hobby and is currently studying art history.
