Katarzyna Gruszecka-Spychała

Katarzyna Gruszecka-Spychała is an experienced professional with a background in public administration and local government.

 

She is a lawyer by education and currently serves as the Vice President of the Management Board of the Port of Gdynia.

 

As a former vice president of Gdynia, Katarzyna was responsible for developing the city's development strategy, with a particular focus on sustainable economic development and internationalization.  

 

Her leadership in economic development and city planning has gained significant recognition, including the prestigious Innovations in Politics award

in the Economy category, making her the first and only Polish laureate to date.

 

In addition to her governmental roles, Katarzyna has been actively involved in the Urban Land Institute (ULI) for many years, contributing to various initiatives and being one of the founders of the Waterfront Cities Council within this organization. Katarzyna is also a member of the task force of the Spatial Development Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences, where she co-develops the national spatial development policy. Her commitment to public service, combined with her strategic vision and collaborative approach, reflects her dedication to sustainable development, economic innovation, and international cooperation.
