Domien Vangenechten

Domien Vangenechten is the program manager for the clean economy at E3G's Berlin office. His work focuses on EU industrial policy, industrial decarbonization, and CCS.

He collaborates with partners from NGOs, industry stakeholders, and policymakers on issues related to industrial decarbonization. His experience includes industrial policy, carbon pricing, and measures to prevent emissions leakage.

Domien joined E3G in April 2021 from the European Roundtable on Climate Change and Sustainable Transition (ERCST), where he held various positions over the past four years, most recently leading the organization's work on the EU ETS system.

He holds a master's degree in sustainable development and policy from Maastricht University, as well as master's degrees in political economy and international relations from KU Leuven.

In his free time, he enjoys cycling, playing soccer, and attending concerts and music festivals. During the lockdown, he rediscovered his old passion for strategic games.
